A Little About Me

I grew up beneath the wide Alberta sky, on an acreage outside Ponoka — the kind of place where strangers stop you in town because they know your parents, and where the horizon feels like it goes on forever. That sense of space, and of being known, has stayed with me.
After high school, I left for Calgary to study Communications and Media Studies at the University of Calgary. It was there that design and visual storytelling claimed my full attention. The mountains visible from the city eventually pulled me closer — in 2023, I settled in Cochrane with my partner Tanner and our two cats, Miikka and Iggy, and found exactly the kind of life I'd been looking for.
Photography has been a constant since childhood — disposable cameras first, then borrowing my sister's DSLR until I had one of my own. In 2020, I turned a lifelong passion into a professional practice. Today, I photograph families, graduates, and couples year-round, drawn most to the sessions that feel nothing like a photoshoot.
Bridal hair has been part of my life just as long. What began as a cosmetology elective in high school became a serious craft — one I continue to develop each off-season through advanced artistry training. During wedding season, it's the work that centers me. I accept a small number of wedding photography commissions each year, reserved for couples I've worked with before or those who arrive through someone I trust.
Outside of weddings and portrait sessions, you'll usually find me on a volleyball court, a hiking trail, or somewhere in the Rockies. I share my home with my partner Tanner, our cats Miikka and Iggy, and our newest addition — Reggie, a dog with a talent for chaos. If you're wondering why all three are named after Calgary Flames players, that's entirely Tanner's doing. I grew up cheering for the Oilers and somehow ended up outnumbered.
Thank you for being here. I'd love to connect.
